Chilling Murder in Hisar After Husband Walks in on Wife and Her Instagram Co-Creator
In a disturbing case from Hisar, Haryana, a woman strangled her husband to death with the help of her lover after being caught in a compromising position. The murder, reportedly triggered by her husband walking in on them, has shocked locals and internet users alike—especially because the woman was a budding social media content creator with thousands of followers.
Meet the Accused: A Content Creator Couple Turned Killers
Raveena and Suresh Met on Instagram and Started Creating Videos Together
32-year-old Raveena, a resident of Premnagar in Hisar, had built a following of over 34,000 Instagram followers with her short dance reels and video collaborations. She met Suresh, her alleged lover, on Instagram, and the duo began creating content together over the last 18 months.
But this digital fame came at a cost. Raveena’s husband, Praveen (35), and his family strongly opposed her video-making and her closeness to Suresh. Frequent quarrels erupted between the couple, with tensions reaching a boiling point in March.
March 25: A Night That Turned Deadly
Caught in the Act, Then Killed with a Dupatta
On the night of March 25, Praveen reportedly caught Raveena and Suresh in an objectionable position. An argument broke out. Enraged and desperate to protect their secret, Raveena and Suresh allegedly strangled Praveen to death using a dupatta (scarf).
In the hours that followed, they tried to cover up the crime in the most horrifying way.
The Cover-Up: 2 AM Body Dump on a Bike
CCTV Shows the Couple Transporting the Body Between Them
Later that same night, at around 2:30 AM, the duo transported Praveen’s body on a motorbike, placing it between the rider and pillion. CCTV footage from roads leading to Raveena’s home captured:
-
A helmeted man driving,
-
Raveena riding pillion with her face covered, and
-
A human body wedged between them.
The footage also showed Raveena returning about two hours later, this time without the body.
They had dumped Praveen’s remains in a drain near Dinnod Road, located about 6 km from Raveena’s home in Gujron ki Dhani, in the Old Bus Stand area.
March 28: Rotting Body Found by Police
Police Trace the Crime Back Using CCTV and Local Investigation
Three days later, on March 28, the Sadar Police discovered Praveen’s decomposing body. Local residents had alerted authorities to a foul smell coming from the drain.
Once CCTV footage was reviewed, investigators quickly pieced the timeline together, leading to the arrest of both Raveena and Suresh, who eventually confessed during interrogation.
The Aftermath: Child Left Behind, Family Devastated
6-Year-Old Son Now in Custody of Grandfather and Uncle
Raveena and Praveen’s six-year-old son has been left behind in the wake of this horrifying act. He is now living with his grandfather Subhash and uncle Sandeep.
The extended family is reportedly in shock, trying to come to terms with the brutal killing and the sudden collapse of their family unit.
A Disturbing Trend of Spousal Murders
Second Shocking Case in a Month Raises Alarm Bells
This murder follows another grisly spousal killing in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman and her lover chopped up her husband’s body and sealed it in a drum with cement. That incident went viral on social media and created public panic.
In fact, one man reportedly got his wife remarried to her lover out of fear that he might meet the same fate.
These cases raise questions about the dark side of social media obsession, infidelity, and the lack of conflict resolution in relationships.
Police Action and Legal Proceedings
Both Accused in Jail, Trial Expected Soon
Both Raveena and Suresh have now been arrested and sent to judicial custody. Police are preparing a charge sheet and the case is expected to move to trial in the coming weeks.
Authorities say the motive is clear: the couple wanted to eliminate the obstacle (Praveen) standing in the way of their affair and growing online presence.
When Online Fame Turns Fatal
The Hisar murder case is a grim reminder of how online fame, when mixed with obsession and deceit, can turn deadly. What started as innocent video collaborations on Instagram escalated into a violent love triangle ending in murder.
This tragedy not only exposes the dark side of social media but also leaves behind a young child who now has to grow up without parents—one killed and the other jailed for life.
