The weekly average price of fuel, calculated by the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE), rises this week by 3% for gasoline and 2.6% for diesel, according to a report released today by the regulator.
According to ERSE’s Weekly Supervisory Report on Retail Prices, for the week of January 2nd to 8th, the efficient price (weekly average price) before taxes is 0.841 euros per liter for plain 95 gasoline and 1.012 euros per liter for plain diesel.
After tax, the price is 1.681 euros per liter for 95 gasoline and 1.681 euros per liter for diesel.
According to ERSE, the average weekly price increased 3% compared to the previous week for gasoline and 2.6% for diesel, taking into account the weekly variation of the international quotations of plain 95 gasoline by +4.8% and plain diesel by +2.7%, as well as due to the updating of the overcost related to the incorporation of biofuels of plain 95 gasoline by +1% and plain diesel by +2.8% and the updating of the value related to the tax on petroleum products (ISP) of plain 95 gasoline by +3.2% and plain diesel by +7.6%.
“In relation to the previous week, the average Retail Price announced on the porticos and reported in the Single Energy Desk was 3.1 cent/l above the Efficient Price for that week for plain 95 gasoline and 4.5 cent/l above for plain diesel,” the report says.
In percentage terms, plain 95 gasoline was advertised in the gantries 1.8% above the Efficient Price and plain diesel was advertised 2.7% above the Efficient Price.
Still in relation to the previous week, ERSE mentions that, in relation to prices with discounts, published by the General Directorate of Energy and Geology (DGEG), “plain 95 gasoline presented a deviation of -1.5% in relation to the Efficient Price and plain diesel of -2.1%”.
ERSE indicates that, in absolute terms, “these estimates are -2.5 cent/l for plain 95 gasoline and -3.3 cent/l for plain diesel, below the respective Efficient Prices.
