Leap Appoints Rajan Chaudhary as Co-Founder in Global Expansion Efforts
In a strategic leadership appointment that highlights its international aspirations, Leap, the rapidly expanding study-abroad platform, has promoted Rajan Chaudhary to Co-Founder. The move comes at a critical juncture for the company as it expands its global reach and strengthens its executive team to address booming demand from study-abroad seekers globally.
A Key Figure in Leap’s Rise
Rajan Chaudhary, a Leap veteran of more than five years, was instrumental in building the company’s technology and product vision. Most recently Assistant Vice President of Engineering, he led product innovation, expanded platform capabilities, and deepened Leap’s technical advantage—earning acclaim for his outstanding leadership and vision.
“Rajan has shown outstanding capability, unshakeable ownership, and deep commitment to Leap’s vision for the past five years,” said Arnav Kumar, Leap’s Co-Founder and CEO. “It is rare to find someone you trust absolutely and wish to build with over the long term, maybe one in a million. Leap’s Growing Global Presence
Established in 2019, Leap runs several student-centric platforms such as:
LeapScholar (admissions and test prep),
LeapFinance (student loans),
GeeBee and
Yocket (worldwide student community and assistance).
These websites offer end-to-end assistance—from preparation for standardized tests and counselling for admissions and visas, to financial assistance and student loans.
Although Leap initially focused on key destinations such as the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Australia, it is now expanding throughout Southeast Asia and the Middle East, which is a testament to an ambitious drive to own emerging global education markets. It has also formed alliances with over 1,000 foreign institutions, further developing its network and student base.
A Startup With Rocket-Fuel Growth
Leap’s performance showcases the confidence that the market has put in its end-to-end approach. The company, in FY24, achieved 113.7% increase in operating revenue to Rs 174.92 crore, indicating robust product-market fit and worldwide applicability. The firm has raised more than $400 million from marquee investors such as Owl Ventures, Jungle Ventures, and Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia India).
The startup’s capacity to match student aspiration with financial and institutional access has enabled thousands of learners to achieve their global aspirations—an impact that keeps expanding as education becomes more borderless.
