Soha Ali Khan Shares Behind-the-Scenes of Her Marriage
Soha Ali Khan recently opened up about her relationship with actor Kunal Kemmu, revealing why her mother, Sharmila Tagore, initially doubted if the couple would ever get married. Speaking on her podcast series All About Her, Soha reflected on how their long-term relationship and live-in arrangement made her mother question whether Kunal would take the final step.
Why Sharmila Tagore Was Unsure About Their Marriage
Soha and Kunal had been dating for several years and were living together for two years before tying the knot. During this period, Sharmila Tagore expressed her concerns. Soha recalled her mother’s words: “Now he’s not going to marry you. You’ve taken away all the interest.”
The actress admitted that she also wondered if her mother might be right. The couple had not been very concerned about formalizing their relationship with a marriage license.
Kunal said it wasn’t that important, and I also felt that maybe it’s not such a big deal. Eventually, since it wasn’t such a big deal, we thought, we might as well get married, Soha shared.
The Role of Family in Getting Married
According to Soha, it was the family’s wish that eventually nudged them towards marriage. “My mother also insisted that men need a little push, otherwise they won’t ask you to marry them,” she said, highlighting how family encouragement played a pivotal role in bringing them together officially.

Lessons From Their Relationship
