A prayer meet to honour the late veteran actor Dharmendra will be held today, November 27, in Mumbai, giving family members, friends, colleagues, and admirers a chance to come together and celebrate his extraordinary life. The ceremony will take place between 5 pm and 7:30 pm at a Mumbai hotel, marking a deeply emotional moment for the film fraternity.

A Heartfelt Tribute to a Timeless Icon
The announcement came through a poster shared by the family, featuring a nostalgic photograph of Dharmendra from his younger days along with the words “Celebration Of Life”. The gathering is expected to draw a large number of film personalities who cherished him both on and off screen.

Final Days and Passing of a Legend
Dharmendra had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai due to health-related complications. He was put on a ventilator after suffering breathing issues. Although there were brief signs of improvement, he passed away on November 24.

His last rites were performed the same day in Mumbai, attended by leading film industry figures including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan. Their presence reflected the immense respect and affection the industry held for the legendary actor.

Bollywood Mourns Together
Over the past few days, numerous celebrities have visited Dharmendra’s Juhu residence to offer condolences. Among them were Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan along with Rakesh Roshan, Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Asha Parekh, Karisma Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Jackky Bhagnani. The continuous stream of visitors highlights the profound impact Dharmendra had on generations of artists.

Even in his late 80s, Dharmendra continued acting with remarkable passion. He appeared recently in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and in Shahid Kapoor’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. His dedication to the craft earned him an enduring fan base across age groups.

His final film, Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis, featuring Agastya Nanda, is scheduled for release on December 25. The film is expected to serve as a fitting final tribute to his illustrious career.
